Man dies from stabbing at Food Lion

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) - Around 12:30 p.m.


, Myrtle Beach police responded to the parking lot of the Food Lion in the 1400 block of Kings Highway for what police were told was an assault, according to a police report.

When officers found the victim, they saw "what appeared to be stab wounds on his back."

The victim is Willie Ray Dixon, 37, of the Myrtle Beach area, according to Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler.

Fowler says that Dixon died at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center around 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police arrested Marcus Augusta Hudson, 27, of Andrews.

Hudson has been charged with murder and possessing a weapon during a violent crime.

He is being held at the Myrtle Beach jail
