Preliminary autopsy results reveal that a man emergency crews originally thought was crushed by his truck, actually died from something cardiac related, according to Horry County coroner Robert Edge.
Horry County Fire Rescue responded to Highway 905 and Old Wilson Road around 8:40 a.m., where a man was found lying in the road in front of his truck, according to Horry County Fire Rescue Public Information Officer Brian VanAernem.
The man was pronounced dead on scene.
A relative of the victim identified him as Coy Honeycutt, 74, of Longs.
A passerby found the man and immediately called police.
