Double murder charges have been dropped against Terry Lowery, according to the Scotland County District Attorney's Office.
The office isn't releasing why charges were dismissed.
Lowery was accused of killing his ex-girlfriend, Jennifer Megan Easterling, and her new boyfriend, Larry Goodwin.
The couple was found shot inside a home on Tarboro Street in Scotland County on June 19, 2012.
Lowery remains at the Scotland County Detention Center under a $21,000 bond on charges of credit card fraud.
We called the Scotland County Sheriff's Office to learn more as to why the charges were dropped and if they have a new suspect or person of interest in this investigation.
