Man cited for leaving dog on balcony in the heat

A Myrtle Beach man was cited for leaving his dog on a hotel balcony in the heat without shelter, according to the police report.

Richard Tilley, 43, was cited for Abandoned/Mistreated Animals.

Myrtle Beach police officers were called to the Americana Motel on North Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach Tuesday afternoon around 3:30.

Officers saw a female Pitbull on the third floor balcony of the hotel, according to the report.
