Conway Police have charged Tony Sylvester Green, 19, of Conway with Armed Robbery and Kidnapping in connection with the November 5 robbery of a cab driver.

On November 5 around 8:00 p.m., Conway Police officers were dispatched to an apartment on Oak Street regarding an armed robbery.

When officers arrived, they spoke with the victim who said that he was robbed at gunpoint by two men, after he was called to the apartment to pick up a fare.

The victim stated that he drove both of the suspects to the Shell gas station on Main Street where they went in to purchase grocery items.

The cab driver then drove both the suspects back to the apartment and upon arrival; one of the suspects asked him to wait outside while he went inside to get money to pay the cab fare.

The driver said that he waited for a few minutes and then noticed both suspects exit the apartment. One suspect approached the passenger side of the vehicle, pointed a black pistol at him and stated "give me all your money."

The driver immediately gave the suspect his wallet and quickly left the scene and notified police, according to the release.

The driver was not injured during this incident.

The second suspect has not been identified.

Anyone with any information concerning this incident and/or the identity of the other suspect is asked to contact the Conway Police Department.
