A 28-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after police said he assaulted a hotel employee last month at her job, according to Myrtle Beach police.
Junior Carranza-Gonzales is charged with Assault With Intent To Commit Criminal Sexual Conduct.
The victim working at a hotel in the 2100 block of North Oak Street in Myrtle Beach told officers in September that Carranza-Gonzales approached her to ask if she was going to clean his room, according to the police report.
Once he took down the "do not disturb" sign, the victim knocked on his hotel room door and no one answered. She went in and he was sitting in a chair.
The victim told officers he tried to sexually assault her and she struggled trying to fight him off. She eventually got free and ran out of the room to report what happened to her employer.
Carranza-Gonzales denied everything, according to the report. He is being held in the Myrtle Beach Jail without bond awaiting trial.
