Man arrested in connection with Laurinburg shooting

Laurinburg police charged, Danny Bostic Jr., 18, with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling, and Accessory after the Fact in connection with a shooting.

Officers responded to the area of Tara Drive in Laurinburg in reference to shooting about 2 p.m. June 22.

Police say Bostic stopped the black Honda he was driving on Tara Drive and his passenger got out and started shooting at Phillip Graham of Laurinburg.

Graham was walking on the side of the road when the vehicle stopped, police say.

Graham started running and ran between two houses as the person was shooting at him, according to a press release.

Several of the bullets hit a home.

A woman sitting on her couch inside the home was hit in the arm, chest and neck.

She was taken to Scotland Memorial Hospital and has since been released.

On June 24, officers arrested Bostic.

He was placed in the Scotland County Jail under a $50,000.00 secure bond.
