Man arrested in connection with disappearance of Aynor woman

Randy Gale Robinson was arrested Thursday.

Horry County police have arrested Randy Gale Robinson in connection with the disappearance of Angie Pipkin.

Randy Gale Robinson is charged with Obstruction of Justice. Robinson posted $5,000 bond on that charge and was released on Saturday around noon.

The warrant states Robinson committed the crime on January 26 at an address on Sullivan Drive near Murrells Inlet when he "...prevented, impeded, or interfered with an investigation by, including but not limited to, providing false, misleading, and/or inaccurate information regarding the disappearance of Angela Grace Pipkin and his activities during the evening hours of January 16, 2014 causing the investigation to divert resources"

Gail Pipkin, Angie's mother, told us earlier this week that Angie was dropped off to meet Robinson on January 16 at the IGA in Aynor.

Gail says when six days went by, and they hadn't heard from Angie, they reported her missing.

This week we learned from Horry County police that Angie was seen on surveillance video at a gas station on Socastee Boulevard just after 9:30 the night of January 16th.

"She was last seen at the Turtle Mart, and then Wilco, I think that's the way it went; surveillance camera showed her there," said Gail Pipkin.

If you've seen Angie or have any information, you're asked to call Horry County Police at 915-TIPS.
