Man arrested for stabbing wanted out of Tennessee

A man who police say stabbed another man twice in broad daylight this weekend on Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach is wanted out of Tennessee for a cutting a man in 2005.

On Sunday, Myrtle Beach police arrested John Duwane Dixon Jr., 35, for stabbing a man around 2:30 p.m.

Both Dixon and the victim were employees of the Airbrush T-shirt Shop next to University Rock and Roll and got into a fight, police say.

Dixon followed the victim and stabbed him in the shoulder and another time in the stomach, according to police.

Dixon was charged with aggravated assault after police say he cut a man in the neck and arms with a box cutter, according to Loudon County, Tennessee records in November 2005.

Dixon is wanted out of Tennessee for the cutting, according to the Loudon County Sheriff's office.

Dixon bonded out of jail the next day but did not serve time for the charge, according to Loudon County records.

According to the Loudon County Sheriff's office, it is unknown at this time if Dixon will be extradited back to Tennessee.
