Myrtle Beach police charged James Junior Littles, 46, with Hit and Run Resulting in Great Bodily Injury, Failure to Yield the Right-of-Way on a Left Turn, and Driving Under Suspension.
Police say he ran a stop sign at Beach Place and North Ocean Boulevard about 8:20 a.m. Wednesday.
That caused a cyclist to try to maneuver around the car and fall, police say.
Officers say the cyclist is in bad shape.
Horry County Police found Littles' car in Loris. Police questioned Littles and Littles turned himself in Wednesday night.
