Man and woman arrested for shooting outside Conway restaurant

A man and a woman are both now under arrest after a shooting outside Bellamy's Snack Bar on Racepath Avenue on August 14.

Conway police have charged Said Vereen, 23, and Brittany Nicole Johnson, 22, both of Conway, with Attempted Murder and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime.

Johnson turned herself into police Wednesday. Vereen turned himself in Thursday.

Johnson and Vereen were arguing outside the snack bar around 10:30 p.m. when Johnson shot Vereen and Vereen shot Johnson, according to Conway police spokeswoman Catina Hipp.

Vereen was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Johnson was found a short time later at another hospital undergoing treatment for gunshot injuries.
