Anthony Wingate, 33, pled guilty to Accessory After the Fact of Murder and Conspiracy, Wednesday.
He's accused of hiding a gun used in the murders of Billy Hall, 26, and Talya Poston, 32. They were found shot to death on Isaiah Road in Florence County in September of 2009.
"His job was to get rid of the weapon. That's basically his participation at that time," said Twelfth Circuit Solicitor Ed Clements.
Judge Thomas Russo deferred sentencing Wingate but allowed him to remain out of jail on bond until he is sentenced. No date has been set for his sentence hearing.
Clements says Fonnelze Delaine hired two people to kill Poston and Hall because one of them was a witness against Delaine in a pending drug case. The state is seeking the death penalty against Delaine. He is expected to be tried later this year. Two others are also charged in the murders.
