Police charged Brandon Todd with Malicious Injury to Animals and Discharging a Firearm Within City Limits after they say he shot and killed his neighbor's dogs last week and threw the bodies in a small creek behind his home on Sesame Road, according to Robbie Tryon with McColl police.
Tryon said the Boykin Spaniel and Labrador Retriever went missing a few days ago.
An officer with the SC Department of Natural Resources was patrolling Sesame Road Monday, when he found the dogs in the creek.
Todd said he shot the animals because he was having problems with dogs attacking his chickens, Tryon said.
Todd has been released from he Marlboro County Detention Center on a personal recognizance bond.
