Myrtle Beach police arrested Edgars Veide, 24, of Lithuania for crimes they say he committed in October.
Officers responded to a call on Cassandra Lane, in Myrtle Beach on October 24. Detectives say the call was in reference to a mother who was upset over possible obscene messages and pictures being sent to her daughters cell phone, according to a police report.
The phone was seized and turned over to Myrtle Beach police for evidence.
Veide was arrested Friday, December 12 and charged with Dissemination, Procuring or Promoting Obscenity, according to Captain David Knipes with Myrtle Beach police.
He's being held at J. Reuben Long Detention Center. Veide's bond is set at $15,000.
