The State Law Enforcement Division is investigating a burglary at the Fourth Circuit Solicitor's Office on Liberty Street in Bennettsville where three laptops and drug testing kits were stolen December 29, according to Fourth Circuit Solicitor Will Rogers.
Rogers says the burglars broke a window near the back of the building to get inside.
He adds only one of the computers may have contained information relating to case files.
SLED and Bennettsville police are working with computer experts from the Solicitor's Office to track down the stolen computers and the suspects.
"Not sure what they (burglars) were looking for. SLED's investigating. We just don't know," said Rogers.
Security at the office will be increased, according to Rogers.
