Ice cream man robbed in Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach police are looking for five suspects who assaulted an ice cream delivery man and stole his money on Friday.

The victim told police around 5 p.m. five men approached him at the skate park near 29th Ave. North then asked him to go behind Myrtle Beach Elementary School.

Once the ice cream delivery man drove his moped over to the suspects, one of the men grabbed him from behind and pulled him to the ground while the other suspects began kicking him, according to a police report.

Police say the suspects then grabbed his bag and took $180.00.

The report says the victim had a small cut above his eye.

The man could not provide any additional information concerning the suspects, but he said if he saw the suspects again, he would recognize them.
