MOUNT VERNON, Wash.- Officials in Washington state say three people have been taken to the hospital after a bridge north of Seattle collapsed Thursday, dumping their vehicles into the water.

Authorities say they believe no one was killed, but a dive team is continuing to search the waters of the Skagit River.

Authorities aren't sure what caused a portion of the four-lane Interstate 5 bridge to give way.

The state Transportation Department says it's investigating whether an oversized load may have struck the bridge.
