Horry County Wildfire: Two weeks later

The South Carolina Forestry Commission is considering reducing the number of firefighters battling the Horry Wildfire, still burning two weeks to the day after it started.

The commission says the recent rainfall was overdue and helped in their fight, though it was not enough to put out fires in deeply burning areas.

Still, officials say they're considering cutting personnel, which now stands at ten, and keeping a few firefighters on standby in case of any flare-ups.

The Forestry Commission continues to patrol and reinforce fire lines.
