Horry County police investigating a death at a Longs home

Horry County Police officers were called to a home on Live Oak Road in Longs Monday around 10 p.m. for a report of a shooting.

Once they got there, they found the front door of the home open.

Officers discovered the body of Ladejia Shantell Hill, 21, of Longs, according to a police report.

Darris Fowler with the Horry County Coroner's Office said an autopsy was done on Hill Tuesday.

He said it determined Hill died from a gunshot wound in the homicide.

Lt. Kegler with Horry County Police said Major Crimes Detectives are working on identifying suspects.
