On May 10, 2005, Horry County police found Sheldon Watts, 66, dead from gunshot wounds at a home on Little Bethel Road in the Green Sea community.
After about a year of investigation, the case went cold.
This fall, police received an anonymous tip on the possible identity of Watts' murderers.
As a result of the investigation, police served warrants on two people.
Willie Arthur, 46, was charged Thursday with Murder, Armed Robbery, and Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime. He was in J. Reuben Long Detention Center on unrelated charges.
Robert Evans, 24, is in the South Carolina Department of Corrections. He'll be charged with Murder, Armed Robbery, and Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime when he completes his sentence and is brought back to Horry County.
