Horry County officer surprises 911 caller with special delivery
Saturday evening the Horry County Police Department shared a special story on their Facebook page about a young girl.
The girl called 911 and asked for cheese sticks, what happened next was quite the surprise.
Officer Pennington with the Horry County Police Department decided to buy a cheese pizza and head to the home of the girl who called 911.
She left the pizza in her patrol car, asked to talk to the girl, and then explains what 911 is for and that she can't call 911 to ask for things like cheese sticks because someone else could have an emergency.
The young girl's grandma tells her she has to go to jail for falsely calling the police.
Officer Pennington puts the little girl in the back of her patrol car crying, and then surprises her with the pizza and explains that the Horry County Police Department is here to help for "non cheese stick related emergencies!".
