Horry County man wanted for February rape
Horry County police are looking for John Sachs, who is accused of raping a woman on February 9.
The 19-year-old woman told police that two weeks before that, she took a job as a waitress at Chez Joey, where Sachs also worked.
She said Sachs asked her to come to his house in the Belle Grove subdivision in Carolina Forest so she could take him to the airport in the morning, according to the police report.
The woman told police they were watching television at his home when he took her phone and keys and hid them in another room. She said Sachs then grabbed her by the back of the neck and forced her into a bedroom, pulled off her clothes, and forced intercourse with her, the report says.
The woman said she then ran into another room and hid there until Sachs left for his flight about 9 a.m.
The woman contacted the Rape Center Hotline, and someone from that organization met her at Conway Medical Center on February 10.
If you know where Sachs is, call Horry County police at (843) 915-TIPS.
Police do not have a picture of Sachs.
