An Horry County man died when Highway Patrol says he ran into another motorcycle near Loris Monday night.
It happened around 7:00 p.m. on Highway 9, about a mile from Highway 701.
Troopers say the rider who was killed was on a 1986 Harley and was not wearing a helmet. They say he and another rider on a 2005 Suzuki were traveling south on Highway 9. Troopers say the Harley hit the Suzuki in the rear.
The rider on the Suzuki was flown by medical helicopter to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. His condition is not being released.
Horry County Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick says the name of the man who died is not being released pending family notification.
Highway Patrol's special accident investigation team is looking into the crash.
