Hit and Run leaves one dead

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WPDE) - A hit and run wreck in Myrtle Beach left one man dead Sunday morning, according to the Horry County Coroner's office.

Coroner Robert Edge said t

he victim is Chadwick Michael Range, of Maryville, Missouri



31-year-old was hit by a car near 35th Avenue North in Myrtle Beach around 3:30 a.m, according to Edge.

The man died from injuries from being hit by the car


Myrtle Beach Police say they received a call about a pedestrian walking in the road on the Highway 17 Bypass, according to Cpl. Shannon Toole.

Police were en route to the location when they received another phone call that the pedestrian had been hit, said Toole.

The vehicle that hit Range left the scene, according to Toole.

The driver and the car were later located. Selvin Gonzalez


was arrested and charged with Leaving the Scene involving Death

, and Driving With a Suspended License.
