South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly one-car wreck on Wesley Road in Murrells Inlet that happened just after midnight Friday.

The crash was reported near the Georgetown Recycling Center.

The driver killed in the crash has been identified as Alexander Fedak, 17, of Murrells Inlet, according to Georgetown County Coroner Kenny Johnson.

Cpl. Sonny Collins with SCHP said Fedak was heading south on Wesley when the car went off the road and hit a tree.
