High speed chase through Marlboro County reached up to 150 mph

A high speed chase that started on Highway 177 in Richmond County reached speeds up to 150 miles per hour before it ended on Hickson Road on Highway 9 in Marlboro County, according to Marlboro County Sheriff Charles Lemon.

Lemon said North Carolina authorities had felony warrants against a man and tried to stop him, but he kept driving.

He added the chase finally ended at Hickson Road and Highway 9 in Marlboro County when the man wrecked his car.

Lemon said the man is okay, but will be checked out at the hospital.
