Hartsville fertilizer plant fire coming to an end

Smoke no longer fills the sky at the site of the Agrium US Fertilizer Plant in Hartsville.

There's a lot less smoke in Hartsville Friday from the fire that burned down a fertilizer plant.

The massive crews are gone. Just the HAZMAT team remains on the site.

A fire in the break room Monday night destroyed the Agrium plant.

Friday, firefighters opened up Society Avenue which has been closed since Monday so crews could access the fire.

The company hasn't said whether it will rebuild. But, for now, it continues to pay the 60 people who were employed there.
