Governor Haley to give annual State of State address

COLUMBIA, S.C. - South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is giving her annual State of the State address before a joint session of the Legislature.
The Republican governor will likely focus on jobs and education in her speech that starts at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Haley has said her top priority this year is her education initiative. It would spend an additional $177 million in the coming fiscal year on K-12 public schools.
This year's speech comes as Haley seeks re-election.
She'll likely thank legislators for finally passing a government restructuring bill that she's been fighting for since her 2010 campaign.
The bill approved Tuesday creates a new, Cabinet-level Department of Administration that gives the governor's office oversight of many of the bureaucratic functions of government such as property and fleet management.
