Georgetown County officials looking for suspect involved in armed robbery
Deputies from the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an armed robbery at Carvers Bay Convenience Store on the morning of Saturday, May, 13, 2017.
An employee said she was approached by an unidentified man shortly after she arrived to open the store.
She said the man grabbed her arm, gave her a note that said to cooperate or be hurt and to go inside and bring him the store’s money.
She complied believing he had a gun.
The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of money prior to fleeing on foot, according to s preliminary report from the sheriff’s office. Investigators were notified and responded to the scene.
The case remains under investigation.
