Funeral set for Robeson County child who deputies say died as result of abuse

Funeral services for 16-month-old Kinsley Shane Oxendine-Scott will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Union Chapel Community Baptist Church, according to the online obituary for Locklear and Son Funeral Home.

The burial will follow in the Oxendine Family Cemetery.

Christian Troy Clark, 23, is charged with first degree murder and count of felony intentional child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury in Scott's death, according to Robeson County Sheriff Ken Sealey.

Sealey said this last Friday night Scott was taken by EMS from a home on Rennert Road to the Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton in reference to a child abuse.

He added the child has bruises on her body with severe injuries.

The little girl was treated and transferred to Duke Medical Center in Durham, N.C., and placed on life support.

The 16-month-old died the following night.
