Fulfilling Christmas wishes for Waccamaw Elementary students

Conway Medical Center Auxillary is making sure every child at Waccamaw Elementary has their Christmas wish lists granted.

Gifts for 25 children were delivered to the school Thursday.

Each child was able to make a list that included necessary items, like clothes and coats, and a toy.

The list was then given to volunteers at the hospital who then went shopping for the items.

Providing these presents are made possible every year through donations made to the hospital's Christmas for Kids charity program.

Christmas for Kids Chair Victoria Gustafon says this year they received over $1500 in donations.

"We sent out letters and the response was fantastic. We got more than enough and we're still getting contributions that will be used next year," Gustafson added.
