Four armed robbery suspects arrested after chase

Four armed robbery suspects are now in custody, after police say they lead officers on a car and foot chase through Horry County.

Horry County police were called to assist Myrtle Beach police after multiple robberies, in which shots were fired, just before midnight on Wednesday.

Jeffrey Myers, 20, from Andrews, Willie Hannah, 19, of Andrews, Evertte Langley, 19, of Andrews, and Taquiel Myers, 19, were arrested.

The first robbery was reported at 1101 3rd Avenue South at the Scotchman convenience store.

A clerk was robbed by two suspects, and one of the suspects hit the clerk in the back of the head with a handgun, according to Captain David Knipes with Myrtle Beach police.

The suspects took off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Minutes later, another incident was reported in the parking lot at 1405 S. Kings Highway at the Kangaroo Express.

Two victims said they were approached by two men in the parking lot, and the men shot at them.

No one was hit.

The four suspects fled in a white station wagon north on Ocean Boulevard.

The car was chased down Highway 17 North.

Police were able to get the vehicle to stop by using stop sticks.

The four suspects then fled on foot, but were caught on Sunset Harbor Way in North Myrtle Beach, in the Sunset Harbor subdivision.

No warrants have been served yet, but could possibly be served Thursday, according to Knipes.
