Florida driver dies in Horry County crash

South Carolina troopers are investigating a crash that occurred early Christmas Eve morning in Surfside Beach.

According to Sgt. Bob Beres with Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Kings Highway near Sea Gate Village at 3:55 a.m. Sgt. Beres says a 1981 Datsun was traveling north when it went off the roadway, and overturned several times and ejected the driver.

Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner, Tamara Williard identified the driver as Robin Miller, 45, of Florahome, Florida. Miller was pronounced dead at 12:30 p




at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.

Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
