Florence County woman identified as victim of deadly Highway 57 crash
Dillon County, S.C. (WPDE) —
A 26-year-old Florence County woman died after a crash on Highway 57 in Dillon County on Monday, according to Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley.
Challissah L'ecole J. Mills was identified as the victim of the crash on Wednesday by Grimsley.
The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. Monday when two cars were traveling north on Highway 57 when one tried to turn left into a private driveway, and the other went off the roadway, leading to the crash, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol's Lance Corporal Judd Jones.
The driver of the first car, later identified as Mills, was killed, according to Jones.
The driver of the second car, as well as a 19-year-old passenger and a 15-year-old passenger, were taken to McLeod hospital. Information on their conditions has not been released.
The crash remains under investigation by SCHP.
