Flooding closes some streets in Florence

Florence police have closed portions of South Coit and South Irby Streets due to flooding.

Officers a


e directing traffic around the streets and have set up detours.

Officers say much of the water has receded, but standing water on the streets still could cause problems for drivers.

There is also some minor flooding on South Dargan Street in Florence.

City crews have spent much of the morning fixing clogged drains.

Police expect the streets to reopen within the hour.
