Today is the day we mark the anniversary of the adoption of the American Flag by Congress in 1777.
To honor the day and all those who have served our country, flags were placed in the median of Ocean Highway in Pawleys Island to Litchfield Beach in Georgetown County.
Waccamaw Landscaping put up the flags for the Litchfield Corridor Beautification Committee.
The committee got donations from area businesses to buy flags and they are put up on patriotic holidays.
