      Firefighters rescue baby owl

A resident of Grand Dunes in Myrtle Beach called the fire department Tuesday concerned about a baby owl.

Firefighters say the nest was about 60 feet up, in the top of a pine tree and looked as if it were trying to jump out of the nest.

It's sibling was dead so the firefighters decided the owl needed to be rescued.

They got it out of the nest, put it in a box and turned it over to the Center for Birds of Prey in Awendaw for rehabilitation.
