Fire crews respond to Aynor house fire

Fire crews responded to a house fire on Old Tram Road near Aynor after 1:30 Thursday morning. The home was vacant, according to Horry County Fire Rescue. Horry County Assistant Fire Chief Douglas Cline said the alarm was dispatched at 1:36 am and units arrived in four minutes. Crews arrived to a single family, single story residential structure that was heavily involved with fire showing through the roof. Everything was a defensive operation, according to Cline. Crews confirmed quickly that there were no occupants in the house. Firefighters were able to contain the fire in 45 minutes. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this point.
Multiple stations arrived at the scene. Four engines and three tankers all from Horry County Fire Rescue were on hand to put out the fire.
