Family of Kareem Ward still seeking answers

June 16, 2007 was the last day the family of Kareem Ward saw him alive.

The Aynor man was 22-years-old when he vanished.

On June 19, 2007, Ward's car was pulled from the Pee Dee River at the boat landing on Gunter's Lake Road, but there was no signs of what happened to him.

Horry County police have had a few leads over the years, but nothing concrete.

Ward's mother, Ann Warren, said Monday, "He's still remembered and not forgotten. We're still waiting for someone to come forward and tell us what happened to him."

Ward has a daughter who will be 6-years-old in September. Warren says the family keeps Ward's memory alive for the child who will never know her father.

If you have any information about Ward's disappearance, you're asked to call the Horry County tip line at (843) 915-TIPS (8477).

Last year, family and friends planted a tree in memory of Ward. Horry County police officers attended.
