American Red Cross volunteers are helping three adults and two dogs whose home, on 38th Avenue South in North Myrtle Beach, was damaged by fire Saturday.

According to a news release, the Red Cross is helping three adults and two dogs.

The Red Cross is providing financial assistance to help with food, clothing, lodging and other essentials, the release says.

The North Myrtle Beach Fire Department posted about the fire on their Facebook page.

The post says around 6:30 pm firefighters responded to the home, which is behind Windy Hill Hardware.

A double wide mobile home was on fire when firefighters arrived on scene. The post says, "initial crews were able to knock down the majority of the fire from the outside to prevent it from spreading to a neighboring home and then worked inside to finish extinguishing the fire and beginning overhaul."

Horry County Fire Rescue also responded.

North Myrtle Beach City spokesperson Patrick Dowling said no one was hurt in the fire. The home is currently uninhabitable.
