An artic front has pushed across the area Thursday morning which means we'll see strong, gusty winds throughout the day on Thursday and into the evening.
Wind gusts will peak around 30 mph. With dry, windy conditions in the forecast for today we will be looking for an elevated fire risk.
Drier air accompanying the cold air blast will push afternoon relative humidity values between 20 to 25 percent along the coast to less than 20 percent inland. The lower the percentage of relative humidity, the drier the area.
Firefighters ask that you postpone any outdoor burning.
