Eight missing NYC kids could be in South Carolina

The NYPD believes the couple could be in a van like this one.

Eight children taken from a New York child welfare agency by their mother last week have been found in Pennsylvania, authorities say, and their parents are in custody

The NYPD says Shanel Nadal, 28, and John Nephra Payne, 34, have ties to the Lowcountry area of South Carolina, which is why they believed they could be in SC.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division received a request from the New York City Police Department to put the pictures of the kids out to the public in case anyone sees them.

The youngest child, Nefertiti Payne, is one year old. The other seven children, all boys, range in age from 4 to 11, and are all named after their father, Nephra Payne, with different middle names.
