Driver dies in Williamsburg County wreck

One man was killed in an overnight vehicle wreck in Williamsburg County.

Randal Hardy, 56, of Charleston was heading east on Wild Wing Turkey Road around 1 a.m, when he lost control, ran off the road, overcorrected, and was thrown from the vehicle, according to Lance Corporal Sonny Collins with South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Hardy was not wearing a seat belt, Collins said.

Hardy died on scene of trauma from injuries sustained in the crash, according to Williamsburg County Coroner Harrison Mcknight.

Highway Patrol is investigating the wreck.
