Update: Around March 31, 2015 these charges against Strickland were dropped when the case was not indicted by a grand jury.
William Lee Strickland, 56, of Nichols, has been charged with Felony Driving Under the Influence, resulting in a death, according to records from J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
Strickland was driving behind Thee DollHouse in Atlantic Beach around 2 a.m. on Saturday when he hit and killed a woman who was trying to get inside his truck, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Renee Hardee, 49, of Nichols, was identified as the woman who was killed by Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler.
Fowler said the autopsy results verify Hardee died from multiple trauma by a motor vehicle.
Strickland is out of jail on a $25,000 bond.
