The South Carolina Air National Guard will conduct an air defense exercise in the Myrtle Beach area on Wednesday.
As part of this routine exercise, fighter jets assigned to the SCANG's 169th Fighter Wing might be seen escorting a single-engine aircraft belonging to the South Carolina Civil Air Patrol between 10am and 11:30am.
This exercise has been coordinated with the Federal Aviation Administration to ensure the rapid response capability associated with the SCANG's Aerospace Control Alert mission.
Most of the flying activity will not be visible from the ground.
