#DonateADozen: Aynor boy wins free donuts, donates a hot dozen to firefighters
Horry County, S.C. (WPDE) —
A 10-year-old from Aynor is using his Krispy Kreme contest winnings to make others happy, according to a post on the Horry County Fire Rescue Twitter page.
Last month, ABC15 News introduced you to a young boy with a big dream--turning on the "Hotlight" at the new Carolina Forest Krispy Kreme location.
Carson waited nearly 24 hours to be the first in line, first through the door, and the first to flip to switch on the new "Hotlight" that will single hot dozens for years to come.
As a prize for being the first, Carson and a number of others were awarded free donuts for a year.
Now, Carson is using those hot dozens to make a few community heroes smile.
In a post on Twitter, Horry County Fire Rescue showed Carson donating a dozen to firefighters at Station 46.
"Carson Collins won @krispykreme doughtnuts each week for a year. He shared a dozen with @hcfirerescue St. 46."
The post also included the hashtags "#CarsonPaysItForward" and "#ClassyKid."
