DNR plans to resume search of river for missing woman

Officials with the SC Department of Natural Resources say they plan to do a surface search of the Great Pee Dee River in Darlington County Wednesday looking for the body of Angie Pipkin.

DNR divers searched the river for Pipkin last week, but were unsuccessful.

Pipkin was last seen January 16, when her grandfather dropped her off at the IGA in Aynor to meet a friend.

After six days went by and no one heard from Angie, her family reported her missing on January 22.

Last week, police charged Randy Robinson with Pipkin's murder.

They say he struck and killed Pipkin at his home then disposed her dismembered body in the Great Pee Dee River in Darlington County.

We've learned the CUE Center for Missing Persons will also search the river when the water recedes.

Right now, the river is right at flood stage and water is flowing into the parking lot of the landing
