Missing Williamsburg County man found safe

UPDATE: 2/16/18 McDuffie has been found safe, according to Captain Cliff Arnette with the Dillon County Sheriff's Office.


A missing persons report has been filed with the Dillon County Sheriff's Office in the disappearance of Marcus McDuffie, 34, of Hemingway.

The report said McDuffie was last seen Saturday on Grove Street in Dillon.

McDuffie's parents filed the missing persons report saying their son's disappearance is out of character for him.

James McDuffie said he and his wife talk with their son daily by phone or text message.

He added if his son also stays in contact with his sisters.

McDuffie said his son is also very active on social media but hasn't been since his disappearance.

McDuffie's 2008 blue-gray Hyundai Santa Fe is also missing new, according to his father. The SUV has a brand new bumper on it. The S.C. license tag number is BHF 341.

Dillon County Sheriff's Office Captain Cliff Arnette said more information will be released when he reviews the missing person's reports and talks with investigators about the case.
