Deputies searching for burglary suspects

The Marlboro County Sheriff's Office is searching for one man wanted in a burglary and theft of an ATM at a store on Highway 38 in Bennettsville Friday morning.

Two suspects are already in custody.

Chief Deputy Charles Lemon says an officer patrolling the area saw a car backed in at the store early Friday morning.

He says when he pulled in


the store's parking lot, the driver of the car took off and a chase ensued.

The chase ended when the men inside the car stopped

, got out of the car
and ran.

A state police helicopter is helping in the search.

Deputies are canvassing neighborhoods and wooded areas in effort to find the last suspect.

The department's K-9 team is also helping in the search.

Chief Deputy Lemon says this is the third time an ATM has been stolen from a store in the county within the past few weeks.
