Deputies: Mobile meth lab discovered while working motorcycle accident

Motorcycle involved in crash

Deputies were working a two vehicle accident on Highway 76 in Marion County when they discovered a mobile meth lab on a moped, according to Captain Brian Wallace with the Marion County Sheriff's Department.

Wallace said a truck pulling a boat crashed into a man on a motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition.

He said as deputies were working the wreck they noticed a man on a moped who was stuck in traffic from the accident.

They saw items on his moped that were consistent with that of a mobile meth lab, Wallace said.

The man's name isn't being released at this time.

Traffic is backed up for several miles as firefighters work to decontaminate the mobile meth lab.
